Anthony Martial's 17 Goals so far for Manchester United | HD VIDEO

Manchester United sharp-shooter Anthony Martial is in the hottest form of his life after scoring in a third successive match for the first time in his professional career.

The 20-year-old was outstanding as he netted twice in the 3-2 defeat to West Ham United, taking his goal tally for the season to 17 in all competitions, 11 in the Barclays Premier League - more than any of his colleagues. The double at Upton Park means he has four goals in his last three appearances. You can watch all of Martial's strikes so far in our video above.

During his time at Monaco, he netted in four successive Ligue 1 games last year but this purple patch was broken up by a 2-0 Champions League defeat to Arsenal.

Martial started his United career on a hot streak of course, finding the net in three of his first four matches last September - the exception being the European reverse to PSV Eindhoven when the Reds' only goal was scored by fellow new recruit Memphis.

It has been an excellent debut season for the no.9 and he will be determined to end it on a high - starting with Sunday's final league match at home to Bournemouth. He looks set to be confirmed as the club's leading scorer for the season, as he is three clear of nearest challenger Wayne Rooney and will be the man the Cherries fear most.

The Reds will strive to see off Eddie Howe's side and hope Swansea City upset Manchester City at the Liberty Stadium in order to leapfrog the Blues into fourth spot in the table. Next weekend, of course, Martial will be out to further enhance his reputation on the big stage in the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace.

The Frenchman's dramatic late winner against Everton in the semi-final booked a return trip to Wembley and it would cap an outstanding maiden campaign in England if he becomes a hero in the showpiece event.

Even though he has been operating on the left flank rather than a central position, it has failed to reduce his output as his speed and direct play continues to create chances for himself and his team-mates. Often the main source of attacking inspiration, the unassuming youngster was the top-ranked outfield player in the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year voting with goalkeeper David De Gea winning the award of course. He did walk away with the Goal of the Season prize though for his unforgettable debut strike against Liverpool.

As our list shows, Martial is poised to become the eighth different player to top United's scoring charts since the turn of the Millennium. It will be intriguing to know how many times he will repeat the feat as he aims to cement his place as a Reds idol over the coming years.
