Obese pregnant women or pregnant women with diabetes on average birth larger children. Researchers have now discovered another medical anomaly. Women with diabetes or who are obese experience rapid fetal growth in the first few months of pregnancy. That means that the fetuses or babies become abnormally large within the first six months of pregnancy. This is causing doctors to question whether or not pregnant women should be tested for pregnant related diabetes earlier than six months.
