First copy of Constitution of India was published here

First copy of Constitution of India was printed here at Survey of India, Dehradun. Survey of India, The National Survey and Mapping Organization of the country is the oldest Scientific Department of Govt. of India. In the year 1949 the first copy of Indian constitution was printed here only because of latest printing technology was available at Survey of India.
