Volkswagen AG's costs in its diesel-emissions scandal could cost another $1 billion as it nears a deal to resolve claims connected to larger and luxury diesel vehicles, according to sources. the company has agreed to buy back around 20,000 so-called first-generation vehicles of the 3-liter model, and to fix the remaining 60,000 second-generation vehicles, people familiar with the deal said. Volkswagen, government agencies and plaintiffs' attorneys are still working to put the 3-liter deal on paper. A federal judge urged the sides in court Friday to complete a deal, and set another hearing for Monday morning.
