Pesticides in Your Oatmeal

Apparently there may be pesticides in your oatmeal. Earlier in the year, a lawsuit was filed against Quaker Oats over claims that products were “100% natural,”. Independent tests found glyphosate in the so called natural oatmeal. However Quaker Oats says it does not add glyphosate during any part of the milling process. Where the glyphosate is coming from may be from thefarmers who apply it pre-harvest. It is a synthetic compound that is a nonselective systemic herbicide used to get rid of weeds in harvests.
