Get ready for the WAGBOTS: Researchers find robots with tails can easily communicate to their owners
Added fluffy tail to Roomba to see if humans could understand its emotions
Found that the tail reveals the state of the robot's operating system
'Happy' means it's ok, 'sad' means t a problem and 'tired' refers to the battery
Study also found that 95% of participants saw Roomba as a pet with the tail

Researches have pulled inspiration from man's best friend in order to better understand robots.
By attaching a fluffy dog-tail to a Roomba, the team was able to determine the state of the machine.
A 'happy' wag meant the system was working properly, 'sad' communicated there was a problem and 'tired' referenced to the robot's battery life.
