This clip from the 1945 film Leylet al Haz shows Taheya Carioca dancing with a sword. The singer is Ragaa Abdou and the song talks about Arab unity. In the first part of the clip Taheya Carioca and the other dancers carry Lebanese and Syrian flags and their costumes reflect the traditional dress of the Levant. In the following segment of the clip, Taheya Carioca and the background dancers enter carrying swords because the lyrics of the song talk about the bedouin people. Their dance steps reflect the steps of traditional bedouin dances.
