Gábor Szabó (1936-1982), famous for mashing up jazz, pop, rock, and his native Hungarian music appearing in 1977 on the KPBS TV show Club Date with Bobby Lyle on keyboards doing Bobby Womack's instrumental Breezin' originally recorded in 1970 by Szabó for his LP High Contrast on which Womack participated as rhythm guitarist. Szabó was forever bitter that George Benson's 1976 version of Breezin' took a higher place in the charts. Ironically both albums were produced by famous producer Tommy LiPuma. The band also performs Concorde Nightflight and an unaccompanied Concierto de Aranjuez theme by Szabó.
