by Jeff DonlanA refugee boat caught fire Sunday in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Spain. All 34 people on board were rescued by Portuguese and Spanish crews, assisted by a nearby fisherman. The migrants were brought to a port in southern Spain. The trip from north Africa to Europe is still the deadliest route for refugees, with 1,500 deaths so far this year.
