Two is better than one: Double texting may actually work

Feel like sending that second straight text is too risky? It may not be after all, according to research from Hinge. Hinge analyzed 300,000 conversations over a two-week period that included two initial messages sent at separate times. More specifically, they found that the second text was sent exactly three hours and 52 minutes after the first one. The recipient was also more likely to respond to the second one than ignore it. Take this data with a grain of salt, however, as it only pertains to the Hinge dating app.
