When "13 Reasons Why" came out earlier this year on Netflix, it captivated the world. Many thought the heartbreaking story of teen suicide would raise awareness. After "13 Reasons Why" premiered, the search phrase "how to commit suicide" went up 26 percent... “How to kill yourself” climbed 9 percent... And "commit suicide" rose 18 percent. Though we did see an increase in suicide awareness, it seems it came at a price.
