Season 22, multiple episodes.

God, how torn I was 7 years ago when trying to decide how to feel about this. I was so frustrated the guy couldn't catch a break but Boston Rob's move was so perfect not only in its blueprint — that was the easy part — but its execution. He said literally little enough but much enough this move later on in the game, wore it on him but also acted humble enough about it not to seem like a complete sociopath for the jury.

Now that I'm older I appreciate the hell outta the way the God-angle was used in this whole storyline. It's just excellent drama; the kind you can't get from any other show. On the other hand, there's the game and on the other hand, there's being a real human being. And this moment was among the best ever to express that dilemma to the viewers. I don't think there was ever a character as likable as Matt Elrod, and also no character who got so_little_breaks. Because of his experience, he's actually been quoted saying he'll never ever play again.
