Survivor Top 100 Gen3 Moments - #1. Skupin being accident-prone
Season 25, all season long.
In the greatest homage to its past the show has ever seen, in one of the most entertaining, hilarious and endearing storylines ever in the show, Michael Skupin — known for one of the most memorable moments in the show's history ALREADY, by falling in the fire in the final 11 of season 2, the Australian Outback — limps through an entire 39 days of Survivor cutting and scraping himself, joking about his Post-Traumatic stress order whenever he sees fire, his tribemates laughing at his silly antics, blowing up the tribe's diving mask after SPECIFICALLY telling another tribe member NOT TO, his SON getting scrapes all over his arms in the cutest "like father like son" moment ever in a loved-one visit, even wild undersea creatures attacking and minorly injuring him...
...Yeah, Ciera's mom-vote, Malcolm upsetting the entire game in one swoop, Mike having the greatest underdog story perhaps in the history of the game, and Brandon authoring his fate... they all were fine, they all were great even, and they all will be forever remembered by fans of the show. But when I watched Philippines remembering vaguely that Mike Skupin really gets hurt a lot during this season, and with knowledge I was gonna dedicate an entry to that, rewatching the season and watching it all go down... there was just no chance. Nothing in this 10-season stretch has amused me as much, and that is strictly what I base this entry's placement on. There was nothing as entertaining as the Skupin approach to doing things, not in Philippines, not in the entire Gen3.
