My Talking Tom is a virtual pet app developed by Outfit7 in November 2013.[1][2] This one is similar to the same 2D-game as Pou and is a fourteenth of the Talking Tom and Friends series. There is also a similar app called My Talking Angela released in December 3, 2014. Another similar app, called My Talking Hank, was released in January 12, 2017.
The official English slogan is "Customize Your Tom!".
In 2015, the UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) ruled that advertising for an adult web site was delivered to underage children via the app.[1][2] The ASA noted that Outfit7 "had a strict advertising policy" but that the company "had not been able to identify which ad network had served the ad.
The goal of the game is to take care of a little cute kitten named Tom. At the beginning, the user is invited to grow this kitten "Tom'" by interacting with him in different ways like feeding him, taking him to the bathroom, playing mini games and making him sleep. Tom can repeat words spoken for up to 25 seconds at a distance of 10 meters from himself using the synthesized voice, "leaning against" his ear to phone`s screen. Also, by paying the game money or by logging in Facebook, there`s an opportunity to visit Toms of friends or around the world.
