Meryl Streep's Statement About Harvey Weinstein is Scathing

It happened. Meryl Streep has finally come out and slammed Harvey Weinstein.
The Oscar winner just released a statement, saying the disgraceful news about Harvey Weinstein has appalled those whose work he championed, and those whose good and worthy causes he supported… and the intrepid women who raised their voices to expose this abuse are our heroes.
She went on to say that one thing can be clarified – not everybody knew.
It had only been a few days since a few celebs were willing to voice their public support for Rose McGowan and Ashley Judd… and those vocal celebs called upon their fellow actors to speak up.
Streep’s statement is the first in many we’re coming to expect, and she closed her message by saying she did not know about Harvey having meeting in his hotel room, his bathroom, or other inappropriate places.
She said his behavior is unexcusable and each brave voice that is raised will ultimately change the game.
