Lots of people like to sing along to songs while they drive, but one Montreal-area man was pulled over and ticketed for doing so.
Taoufik Moalla told CBC News that he was belting out the lyrics to the 90’s dance tune ‘Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)' when he noticed "police lights behind him."
“Did you scream loudly?" officers reportedly asked him.
Maolla went on to explain that he was just singing.
Officers then reportedly handed him a “screaming in public” ticket that equals roughly $117 USD.
Maolla, in an interview with CTV News, said he didn’t make a fuss about the fine at the time, which was in late September, but has since appeared in court to file a challenge to the violation.
He also told the reporter that when he informed his wife about the fine, “she told me, if it was for singing, I’d have given you a ticket for $300.”
