This is the miraculous moment a man survived after an entire train ran over him over him.
He lied still between the tracks as the mile-long goods train passed over him creating heart-wrenching moments for bystanders, who shrieked in horror.
But much to their delight, he escaped without a scratch on his body. Though in daze, he sat up on the tracks after the train passed.
The incident occurred at Banakata railway station in Uttar Pradesh, India, on November 15.
The man, who remains unidentified, wanted to catch the Bagh Express, which had stopped at Track 2. Instead of taking the foot over bridge from his platform, he opted to slip under the carriage of a goods train which had stopped at Track 1.
He failed to notice that the goods train had already received green light to move. As he got under the train, the wheels started moving and he lied down between the tracks.
Other passengers on the platform watched the moving train in horror with some of them shouting at him to keep still. They rushed to help him to his feet cheering loudly after he survived the ordeal.
Many eyewitnesses said the man was drunk and that had caused the incident.
Pramod Mishra, a passenger, said “He left quickly and rushed to catch his train. He was anxious to avoid trouble with Railway Police.”
