A quick-thinking railway worker saved a man’s life after he slipped between the platform and a moving train.
The dramatic rescue occurred at Barddhaman Junction Railway Station in West Bengal, India, on Monday (Oct 28) as the Ganga Sagar Express pulled into Platform No. 5.
CCTV footage shows Shailendra Choudhary, 58 from Madhubani, Bihar, holding on to the moving train after he lost his balance while deboarding the train.
Railway Protection Officer (RPF) Nibha Kumari, who was on passenger security duty with her colleague Yogesh Kumar, spotted Choudhary just as he fell.
Footage shows Kumari sprinting toward him and managing to pull him to safety in the nick of time.
Choudhary only sustained minor injuries to his legs and declined medical assistance.
