Folk Masti is a 4 piece folk/fusion band from Mumbai that combines folk music with western elements and styles. Influenced by folk-rock bands like The Raghu Dixit Project and Indian Ocean, the band hopes to convey a positive message and also breathe life into the culture of folk music. They released their first official music video 'Aamchi Mumbai' on MTV Indies in 2014 to critical acclaim. The song pays tribute to the city and spirit of Mumbai, and was subsequently featured on various radio stations and platforms.
They were featured in 'Sennheiser Top 50 Emerging Bands of India 2015' and placed 2nd in the National Centre for Performing Arts' Band Baja Contest. They were also nominated in the 'BEST SONG' category in Hungama's Artist Aloud Music Awards in 2016.
Folk Masti are Vipul Panchal on Guitar & Vocals, who is also the songwriter, Mayur Nagpal on Vocals, Sachin Guldagde on Keys & Roshan Aade on Percussion.
