If one were to define Davy Sicard's quest as refleted in his music, it would be for search for truth, a search for personal identity, a spiritual quest, and finally recognition of a collective identity, all firmly anchored in his core - Reunion Malagasy, Indian, born in the suburbs of Paris... anchored in Creole culture.
