Ana Ćurčin is a rising singer-songwriter born in Baghdad, grew up in Moscow but has returned and is based in Belgrade, Serbia. She is one of the representatives of the Balkan Americana scene and her music blends the traditions of folk, Americana and dream pop into a musical atmosphere on her own. She performs either as a solo artist, or with collaborators or with her band. Ana announced her debut album “Sketches of Belonging” in the beginning of 2016.
Since her first gig on the Belgrade independent music scene in the end of 2012, Ana held a number of concerts and notable shows in Belgrade and other cities, including festivals such as Americana Night in Belgrade or EXIT festival in Novi Sad.
During the 2014. Ana performed on the prestige Waves Festival in Vienna, as well as in sold out Culture Factory in Zagreb (November 22th), where she was a special guest of the Croatian singer-songwriter Lovely quinces. During the Spring 2014. she toured with the the front men of the band Stray Dogg, Dukat Strajnic, and they played in Croatia, Italy, Switzerland, Hungary and Russia. In January 2015. she opened the season in the legendary Studio 6 of Radio Belgrade where she presented the new band and new songs and announced the debut album for Spring 2015. Her performance was well noticed in Berlin on Flitchenbar in Sudblock in 2015. as well as on MENT Festival in Ljubljana in beginning of 2016.
Amazing singles “Cut Loose”, “I can’t”, “Remain calm” and “Unknown” as well as deeply touching live performance both solo and a strong performance with the band have brought Ana under the spotlight in a really short period of time and made her one of the most promising names of regional independent music scene.
