PRESENTED BY THOMAS CHAMPAGNE

Stefanie is excited to release her first EP as a folk/soul solo artist, coming summer of 2014. She has begun to actively perform in Charleston cafes, and plans to pursue opportunities to share her music in churches and community festivals. Her mission is to make music that can be used as a resource to inspire restorative hope to the hurting and inspire acts of compassion in a dark world.
“Music has the potential to bring forth life and beauty in the midst of pain. That real, ‘covered in dirt’ hope and compassion is what I aim to inspire through my writing, performances, and EP. I share my stories so transparently, pouring my soul into creating my music, because I want to connect with people in a real way. The greatest joy I receive is how people often see themselves in my songs, and feel inspired.”

Stefanie started playing guitar at age six with her father’s church folk group in Hilton, NY. She began writing music as a teenager, out of a place of brokenness, as her parents were divorcing and her family seemed to be falling apart. During her high school and college years, she fronted a rock band that performed consistently as a “go-to band” for many venues and events, providing inspiration to fans all over western New York. Facing major life transitions and in need of a dose of hope and inspiration herself, Stefanie began writing as a solo artist in College Station, TX in 2012. She continues today as an active songwriter and performer in Charleston, SC. While her sounds have been compared to JJ Heller and Jamie Grace, her biggest musical influences have been Barlow Girl, Derek Webb, Jon Foreman, Nickel Creek, Jamie Cullum, and Newton Faulkner.
