PRESENTED BY JOANNE COLLINS
PRODUCED BY PABLO GOMEZ, VIDA VISION & JOANNE COLLINS
Wexford-born and Cork-captured saxophonistic singer/songwriter Clódagh Kearney has spent the past four years performing and touring in various musical outfits, sharing stages all over the country including the National Concert Hall, Cork's Everyman Palace Theatre, Waterford's Theatre Royal and Ennis's Glór Theatre with acts such as Jack L, Jerry Fish, Gavin Glass, Eleanor McEvoy, Paul Walsh of Royseven and Mick Flannery.
2013 has seen the beginning of her effort towards promoting her own original material -- a mix of bluesy pop and weird jazz, showing off all the musical eccentricities of her muses from the old jazz crooners right through to artists as diverse as Bruce Springsteen, Big Maybelle, AC/DC, Tom Waits, Imelda May and Guns 'n' Roses. Recent collaborations with Cork's own guitar maestro and singer-songwriter extraordinaire Tomás McCarthy are due to bear fruit in the new year with some genre-bending surprises. Dressed like a 50s pin-up wielding an alto saxophone and backed by a troop made up of some of Cork's finest musical talents, this Wexford strawberry and her band of merry men put on a show that is not to be missed.
