Iowa Police Chase Fugitive, Use Cruiser to Try to Stop HIm

A Nebraska fugitive was in custody in Iowa on Monday, January 16, after police chased and tased him after an alleged shoplifting incident. Video from the scene shows the suspect running away from police, who use a cruiser in an attempt to stop him.The suspect was attempting to steal a Bose audio system, cell phone cases and other merchandise from a Council Bluffs Target when loss prevention staff attempted to stop him, a news report said.The man did not stop for police when they responded to the scene, which prompted the chase, the report said. The man was taken the hospital for difficulty breathing after police tased him and later released to jail, the news article said. The man was wanted in Douglas County, Nebraska, the article said.
