Building a Brick Rocket Stove - Rocket Forge Experiment

Hey everyone! Somebody suggested I build a rocket stove, so today Im building a simple brick stove to test out some ideas I have for making a rocket forge capable of heating steel for forging. Im also sinking a sledgehammer head into the ground for a simple anvil.\r

This design is based off of the brick rocket stove made by Survival Common Sense ( ) I ended up using 30 bricks plus 4 cinder blocks. The red clay bricks I used are a little more expensive than the concrete bricks he used, but I like using red clay bricks for heat because they can work well.\r

My suggestion when using red clay bricks is to first make sure the bricks are ually red clay. Some bricks are made of red clay over concrete and these should not be heated. You also want bricks that have been fully cured. I like using old bricks that have been used for several years, but you can also bake the bricks in an oven to cure them. uncured bricks are more likely to pop, break, or crack when heated.\r
