Passengers on board a Southwest Airlines aircraft at John Wayne Airport, Orange County, were forced to evacuate the Boeing 737 plane after a fire broke out on board on Monday, February 12.This video shared by the Newport Beach Fire Department shows firefighters arriving at the scene on the airport tarmac. A fire department spokesman said five people were treated for injuries.The fire sparked as the plane, carrying 139 passengers, was preparing to take off ahead of its journey to San Jose, according to NBC news. The five passengers were injured as they exited on the emergency slides, the news channel reported.
