A Southwest Airlines flight was diverted to Philadelphia after the plane sustained damage on Tuesday, April 17. The flight had left LaGuardia Airport in New York and was headed to Dallas before it experienced problems.Passenger Marty Martinez was traveling from New York City to Dallas, Texas, when the incident occurred. He livestreamed on Facebook mid-flight, showing himself wearing an oxygen mask and writing: “Someone on the plane had a heart attack and it looks like an engine blew out then a window was blown open. We are still on the plane and they are trying to revive a woman on the plane.”An unconfirmed report stated the cabin depressurized when a piece of the engine broke a window, and that a woman was partially sucked out the window. Fire department officials told local media one person was taken to the hospital.Photos shared later by Martinez and other passengers showed apparent damage to one of the plane’s engines.Southwest Airlines issued a statement saying passengers and crew were being transported to the terminal in Philadelphia International Airport, and that they were gathering more information.
