When we go we pack it in - Missions Committee chairperson Ray Herbst explains

Amherst Community Brethren In Christ Church (Massillon, Ohio, U.S.A.) Missions Committee chairperson Ray Herbst gives an overview of what was accomplished by the Mennonite Service Venture group from Stark County, Ohio Brethren in Christ Churches that served the homeless and hungry in Washington, DC between Christmas and New Year's 1987 as well as in areas of abject poverty in Chicago, Illinois in July 1987. Every trip utilized 19-20 hours of a 24-hour day, with an average of 4.5 of luxury time (sleep) a night. Mr. Herbst served as co-youth director at the Amherst Community Church with Mr. Dan Buckwalter from 1982-1985. Since that time, as of February 2018, Mr. Herbst has served with a multitude of for-profit, non-profit and governmental organizations.
