Losing a favorite slipper is bad enough, but finding out it was eaten by a python that's apparently been slithering around your house for days no doubt makes the situation much worse. That's exactly what happened to a man in Queensland, Australia, reports Sky News. One night, before going to sleep, he left both his slippers at the side of his bed. When he woke up the next morning, only one was there. Trappers were called and, days later, they found a roughly 6-foot-long carpet python with a shoe-shaped bulge in its middle. The snake was taken to HerpVet, an area veterinarian, and slipper extraction surgery was performed. It was a success, with the snake making it through the ordeal and the man no longer having a footwear-eating python roaming around his house.
