The average Brit experiences true excitement 104 times per year – with the biggest buzz at 1:28pm on the fourth Friday in December, a study has found. A poll of 2,000 Brits found that the typical adult spends more than 12 days a month simply going through the motions thanks to work, their commute and keeping up with life admin. And this leaves more than two thirds of the population believing their lives are lacking in excitement. In fact, three in 10 admit they only feel truly alive when the weekend hits, merely ‘existing’ for the other five days of the week.
