About 2,500 people have been evacuated in Forbes Park, Colorado, since the Spring Fire began on June 27, according to local news reports.Evacuations have been ordered for Forbes Park and Wagon Creek Estates in Costilla County, and Tres Valles subdivision in Huerfano County.This video shows the flames and billowing smoke of the fire as it burned near a community center in Fort Garland, Colorado, on June 28.The Spring Fire blaze grew almost 24,000 acres from June 27 to June 29 with zero-percent containment.Firefighters said during a news conference on June 28 that they will be “chasing” the wildfire instead of battling it due to weather conditions. Eighty to 100 firefighters are working on the fire. The National Weather Service issued critical fire conditions across the state, as well as red flag warnings for most of western and central Colorado.Portions of US Highway 160 were closed due to the fire.
