After reading an article from The Daily Beast, Schneider tweeted, "Why do so many fellow journalists mock or downplay #LymeDisease ? It's real, destructive & getting worse. I've been battling #Lyme. I know."
This tweet was the first time Schneider openly discussed his battle with Lyme disease and its effects.
