Didier Cohen returns to social media after lyme disease battle
He's the television personality and DJ who revealed, in March, that he was battling Lyme disease.
And after a protracted absence from social media, Didier Cohen ,33, made a return to Instagram on Monday, filling fans in on his struggle with the tick-borne infection.
Posting a selfie, Didier gave a long-winded update on his condition, which also explained his absence from the popular image-sharing platform.

‘I’m back,’ he started the post. ‘So, a few months ago I had to leave social media. I needed to go into treatment with my mind right and fight this Lyme.’
Didier continued: ‘I am happy to say that with the help of @infusiobeverlyhills I am healthier now that I have been in months, maybe years.’
The celebrity DJ was also sporting a new red bullseye tattoo on his neck which he explained was a reminder of his struggle with the illness.

‘Lastly, as you can see I have a bullseye tatted on my neck…I am proud to announce that I am an ambassador for the Lyme Disease Association of Australia and this tattoo represents the early sign of Lyme disease.’
He added: ‘While only 50% of cases see this rash, for those that do, please go and seek medical attention. I know that Lyme is not properly recognised in Australia BUT I am going to do all i can to change that and create as much awareness as possible.’
Didier’s fans were quick to wish him well, writing ‘Very happy to hear your feeling better and that you have taken time out to look after yourself,’ and ‘Great news to see you getting better and stronger!’

Sharing a photo that showed him hooked up to an intravenous drip, Didier said his health started declining five years ago but it wasn’t until a month prior that he was forced to seek medical attention after his body shut down.
