Tensions high at Tommy Robinson and pro-Trump march

Tensions ran high at a London rally by supporters of US President Donald Trump and jailed far-right leader Tommy Robinson, held on Saturday (July 14).

"Free Tommy Robinson" supporters and pro-Donald Trump marchers came together in Whitehall for a joint rally in support of the visit of the US President.

They called for the release of English Defence League founder Robinson, who was jailed for 13 months for breaking contempt of court laws.

A US diplomat reportedly complained to the UK's ambassador in Washington, DC, about the jailing of Robinson.
