According to Business Insider, sanctions are crippling North Korea's economy.
After the United Nations tightened sanctions against the country almost a year ago, North Korea's economy is facing its sharpest decline in two decades.
South Korea's central bank estimates that 2017 was especially bad for the isolated country's economy, after its real gross domestic product fell over 3-percent last year.
