A tornado touched down on Friday, July 27, in Whitemarsh Island, Georgia, and caused damage in the area, according to WJCL.The storm reportedly knocked over trees and ripped off roofing at a local middle school and elementary school.The National Weather Service Charleston, SC, tweeted that it would conduct a damage survey for the area on July 28, and confirmed that there was a tornado in the area around 4 pm on July 27.No injuries have been reported.
