Heatwave deaths to soar dramatically, global study finds

Deaths caused by severe heatwaves will increase dramatically in tropical and subtropical regions, followed closely by Australia, Europe and the United States. From 2031 onwards there could be a 471% increase in fatalities in three Australian cities - Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
