Tropical Storm Michael Looms

Reuters reports that a tropical depression became Tropical Storm Michael on Sunday. It may become a hurricane by midweek, potentially bringing storm surges and heavy rainfall to the U.S. Gulf Coast. This according to the U.S. National Hurricane Center.
The storm was about 225 miles southwest of the western tip of Cuba at 2 p.m. eastern time. It was recorded to have had sustained winds of 40 mph.
