Narendra Modi manages to placate PMK, BJP, rainbow alliance complete

Amidst reports that their ties were on the rocks, the PMK on Thursday said it will join the Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA in Tamil Nadu. BJP chief Rajnath Singh will announce the alliance at a press conference at 12 noon.
A day ago, reports said that PMK founder Dr Ramadoss was upset as the BJP had allotted the Salem seat to its archrival, the DMDK. Reports said that Ramadoss was also disappointed as the BJP had given most of the seats in Tamil Nadu's northern districts to the DMDK.
The PMK is considered to be a strong party in the northern districts.
