As the BJP prepares itself for a stormy Monsoon Session in the Parliament, a senior party leader caused embarrassment to the party by writing a letter to party chief Amit Shah. 80-year-old Shanta Kumar, a MLA from Kangra in Himachal Pradesh, in his letter to Shah said that that the recent controversies, involving ministers in various scams, have dented the party's image and urged that an "ethics committee should be set up to act like a Lokpal to root out corruption."
