Kolhapuri Pivla Rassa is a authentic dish from the Maharashtra cuisine. This Chicken curry is thin in consistency and tastes spicy. Try it at home and share your feedback in the comments below.

Ingredients:
1 tbsp Split Green gram, soaked
1 tbsp Split Bengal gram, soaked
1 tbsp Split Red gram, soaked
3-4 tbsp Oil
3-4 Onions, paste
1 tbsp Ginger-garlic paste
2 Bay leaf
7-8 Cloves
7-8 Black Peppercorns
4 Cardamom pods
1 tbsp Coriander seed powder
1 tsp Cumin seed powder
1 tsp Garam Masala
2 tsp Turmeric powder
1/2 kg Chicken
Salt
3-4 cups Water
7-8 Green Chillies, slit

Method:
Cook all the dals in a pressure cooker and let it turn into a paste-like consistency.
Heat oil in a pan, add onion paste, saute it until it turns slightly pink.
Add ginger-garlic paste, bay leaf, cloves, cardamom and mix them well.
Add coriander seed powder, cumin seed powder, garam masala, turmeric powder and mix them well.
Add chicken, cooked dals, salt and mix well.
Add water, mix well, cover it with lid and let it cook for 20-25 minutes.
Add green chillies, cover it with lid and let it cook for 5 minutes.
Our Kolhapuri Pivla Rassa is ready to serve.
