American investor Jim Rogers attended his first board meeting Thursday after becoming outside director of (ah-nan-tee) Ananti, the only South Korean resort operator in the North.
Shortly after that meeting, the famed financial guru sat down with Arirang TV and we got the chance to ask him why he invested in the resort business out of all the possible inter-Korean business fields. Let's take a look.

"Well, first of all, tourism is going to be a huge business, greater business in Korea in the future. Korea is not on the tourist map. If you are sitting in Europe or America, you say 'I want to go to Asia', you think of Japan, China, but you don't think of Korea because Korea means war. Korea means the evil North Koreans. People don't come to Korea but they will because it is going to be a new frontier. Not only would they come to the North, they will come to the South because you've got many many fabulous temples, monuments, beautiful beaches, mountains, and you've got food. North Korea and South Korea are going to be a great tourist destination."

Rogers also added that he is certain Geumgangsan Mountain tours will resume within three years.
The full version of his interview will be aired on Saturday on Arirang Special.
