대담: 선명해진 북미 간극, 접점 찾을 수 있나

And for more,... we have Dr. Bong Young-shik, from the Yonsei Institute for North Korean Studies joining me in the studio today. Welcome
Q1 The U.S. is continuously calling on North Korea to take concrete measures towards denuclearization. U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo called Pyeongyang a real threat to Washington,... saying that what it wants is action, not just words. It comes a day after the North's propaganda outlets said that Pyeongyang is still committed to complete denuclearization. Do you think his remarks are in response to that?
Q2 Some experts say Washington's push for an all-or-nothing approach comes as the six party talks aimed at denuclearizing North Korea in the past failed. How do you view the U.S. stance at the moment?
Q3 North Korean propaganda outlets on Tuesday said that Pyeongyang is still committed to complete denuclearization. Following the report,... some had suggested that it's an indication that the North wants to return to talks,... but now a variable is Washington's push for a one-go deal. Q6 Is there any figure among the 687 people elected as deputies to the 14th Supreme People's Assembly -- that we should have our eyes on?
Q7 The first parliamentary session is set to take place next month -- where there could be discussions about the policies or measures to take following the breakdown of the Hanoi summit. What are some things we can expect?
Q8 Now it's no doubt that Seoul's role as a mediator has increased. A South Korea-U.S. working group session is set to be held in Washington on Thursday,... to coordinate various issues related to North Korea.
Seoul's foreign ministry says the working group session will allow the two allies to assess the recent trends seen in inter-Korean and North Korea-U.S. relations. The working group has been able to keep talks between Pyeongyang and Washington on track. Do you think we can expect something like this again this time?
Q9 Now the working group session comes at a time when there's been concerns that Seoul and Washington are out of sync when
