黄风岭上，刮起一阵怪风，唐僧被妖怪捉去。悟空为救师父，迎战黄风怪，被妖风伤了双眼。黎山老母变化的老妈妈医好了悟空的眼睛。悟空请来灵吉菩萨，收伏了黄毛貂鼠变成的黄风大王。师徒三人来到流沙河畔，悟空与等候取经人的沙悟净几番争斗。观音的徒弟木吒赶来，说明了情况，于是唐僧又收下沙悟净为徒，师徒四人继续西行。在一座庄院里，好客的女主人欲招唐僧为夫，并要将三个女儿嫁给悟空、八戒和沙僧。只有八戒意动神摇，溜进后堂去撞天婚，闹了许多笑话。这女主人和三个女儿本是黎山老母和观音、文殊、普贤三为菩萨变化，特意在此考验唐僧师徒。八戒受到捉弄，十分羞愧。
On the Huangfeng Ridge, a strange wind blew, and Tang Yan was captured by the monster. Wukong was the master of the rescue, facing the yellow wind blame, and was hurt by the demon wind. The old mother of Li Shan’s old mother changed the eyes of Wukong. Wukong invited the Bodhisattva to receive the Yellow Wind King, which became the Yellow Wind King.
