After a bad storm, John and Julie Mire of Louisiana discovered a little baby bird in an iris bush in their yard. Without a lot of information, the two decided to take it in as it clearly needed help rehabilitating. John and Julie got in touch with a bird rehabber for helpful advice, and over time were able to put the little sparrow they eventually named Iris back on track with her development. But when it's finally time to let Iris fly free on her own, the attachment we see her have to her humans is so touching.
