Jackie Souders and his Orchestra were a featured band at the Olympic Hotel in Seattle, Washington in the mid-1920s. Al Rinker and Bing Crosby performed briefly with the Souder Orchestra in 1925 before leaving for Los Angeles in 1926 where Rinker's sister Mildred Bailey lived. While performing in Los Angeles members of the Paul Whiteman Orchestra caught their act. Whiteman ended up hiring them and eventually added songwriter Harry Barris to the act which then became know as Paul Whiteman's Rhythm Boys. Jackie Souders and his Orchestra may have also recorded under the pseudonym of the Garden Dancing Palace Orchestra. This excellent record was made in 1927.
