Amber Rudd believes Jeremy Hunt has a chance of beating Boris Johnson when campaigning to the Tory party members begins. The Work and Pensions Secretary said she believed the public may have had enough of “disruption politics” and wanted somebody to “steady the tiller” and provide “calm leadership”. Mr Hunt is currently in second place after the results of the first ballot were announced with Mr Johnson way out in front, the final two candidates will then take their campaigns to Conservative Party members who will ultimately decide who will be the next Prime Minister.
