The court Thursday ordered that Starehe MP Charles ‘Jaguar’ Njagua Kanyi be held in remand for the second night, pending his bail hearing.

Jaguar has been charged with incitement of citizens against foreigners.

Magistrate Sinkiyan Tobiko ordered the police to detain Jaguar until tomorrow when he will rule on the bail.

The prosecution had asked the judge to detain Jaguar for 14-days as they conduct further investigations.

The prosecution said at the end of 14-days they will have evidence of an attack Jaguar is accused of planning.

The prosecution team claimed the evidence included mobile line history, call data records, text messages, among other details.

Jaguar was arrested on Wednesday and held at the Kilimani police station.
