Win for Sauti Sol as famous German singer re-releases one of their hit jams
Kenyan boyband Sauti Sol seems to have captured the hearts of fans around the globe.
The four-member band first took over African airwaves when they unleashed the banger ‘Sura Yako’ in 2014.
Since then, they have continued to drop nothing but hit jams like ‘Melanin’, ‘Short n Sweet’ and ‘Tujiangalie’.
Sauti Sol has also collaborated with heavy hitters in the African music industry, working with acts like Patoranking, Yemi Alade, and Mi Casa.
The group is on its way to more international recognition after a famous German singer by the name Oonagh covered their hit track ‘Kuliko Jana’.
The song was released in 2016 and the group featured RedFourth Chorus in the jam that has over 8.9 million views on YouTube.
Oonagh’s cover was produced by AirForce 1 records and the video shot in Nairobi.
On her Instagram page, the singer says her cover of the song is about letting go and getting to oneself. She further says she’s happy that her fans loved the song.
