Trump Presents Immigration Bill To Cabinet

President Donald Trump presented a bill to his Cabinet aimed to boost border security. Additionally, the bill would overhaul the current immigration system to make it more merit-based. An official said the president will meet with Republican congressional leaders Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy. According to Reuters, the official said the bill is being used to “unify the Republicans” around one plan. He said GOP divisions over policy issues has hindered immigration reform in the past.
